WVFD Christmas Party
On December 9 the WVFD family celebrated Christmas
together at station 18 with great fellowship and a fine
feast from our local Italian restaurant, Mama Lena’s.
We celebrated accomplishments for the year, received a
surprise visit from Santa with gifts for all of the
children, and bid farewell to our president and dear
friend Chris Sheeran and his family. They will be
greatly missed.Hans Speck was recognized as
firefighter of the year and Marcus Lee as EMT of the
year. Karen Bronson was recognized for her outstanding
support efforts, and Ronnie Sturgeon and Lester Ford
both received a Presidential Award of
Appreciation. Lester was also named department
Chaplain. It was a wonderful evening and a great
opportunity for the families to enjoy time together.
